11、s Part of this British Standard, published under the direction of the Refrigeration, Heating and Air Conditioning Standards Committee, is identical with ISO 1992 “Commercial refrigerated cabinets Methods of test Part VIII: Test for accidental mechanical contact” published in 1978 by the Internationa

12、l Organization for Standardization (ISO). The United Kingdom has taken part in the preparation of the International Standard through Subcommittee 7 of Technical Committee 86, Refrigeration. This Part, together with the other Parts of this standard, will comprise all the methods of test for commercia

13、l refrigerated cabinets. The specification for these cabinets will be the revised edition of BS 30531). When this revised edition is published BS 3053:1971 and BS 3918:1965 will be withdrawn. Other Parts of BS 6148 currently published are as follows: Part 1: Calculation of linear dimensions, areas a

Terminology and conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitabl

Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is especially drawn to the following. The comma has been used throughout as a decimal marker. In British Standards it is current pract

NOTETextual errors. When adopting the text of the International Standard the errors listed below were noted. These

17、 errors have been corrected in this British Standard and have been reported to ISO in a proposal to amend the text of the International Standard. In the footnote “electrical” was missing from the generic title of IEC 335 and IEC Publication 335-2-24 was misprinted as IEC Publication 335-2. A British

Compliance with a British Standard does not of itself confer immunity from legal obligations. Summary of pages This document comprises a front c

22、 for protection against mechanical hazards in normal conditions of use due to contact through openings in commercial refrigerated cabinets intended for the sale and/or display of food products. For tests in respect of accidental electrical contact reference should be made to appropriate IEC tests. 2

23、 Test fingers The test fingers shall be as specified in clause 8 of IEC publications 335-1 and 335-22) comprising, as shown in the Figure of this International Standard: a) a jointed test finger; b) a straight unjointed test finger of the same dimensions. 3 Test procedure 3.1 The test shall be made

24、with the cabinet disconnected from the electrical supply and with moving parts (for example, fan blades) rotated or moved so that they are as close as possible to the test finger. 3.2 The test shall be made on the cabinet after the removal of all parts which can be removed without the use of tools.

25、However, the panels within the storage volume, for example those which cover the air ducts and the fan(s), are to be left in position even if they are able to be removed without the use of tools. 3.3 The test fingers shall be applied with the least force necessary, in every possible position except

26、that a cabinet normally used on the floor and having a mass exceeding 40 kg shall not be tilted. 3.4 Apertures preventing the entry of the jointed finger shall be further tested by means of the unjointed finger, which shall be applied with a force of 30 N; if this finger enters, the test with the jo
