20、s 121 and 122:1995 BSI 09-19993 Introduction This standard is one of a series which deals with flexible insulating sleeving for electrical purposes. This series consists of three parts: Part 1: Definitions and General Requirements (IEC Publication 684-1); Part 2: Methods of Test (IEC Publication 684

21、-2); Part 3: Specification Requirements for Individual Types of Sleeving (IEC Publication 684-3). This standard gives two of the sheets comprising Part 3 as follows: Sheet 121: Extruded silicone sleeving, general purpose; Sheet 122: Extruded silicone sleeving, general purpose, low volatile content.

22、1 Scope This standard gives requirements for two types of non-heat-shrinkable sleeving extruded from silicone elastomer and distinguished principally by volatile content. These sleevings are normally available in bore sizes up to 25 mm and in a range of wall thicknesses between 0.1 mm and 2.0 mm. Na

23、tional standards may select a restricted list of preferred combinations of bore diameter and wall thickness. These sleevings are normally available in the following opaque colours: black, blue, brown, grey, green, orange, pink, red, violet, white, yellow and green/yellow. It is also available in col

24、ourless translucent form. 2 Designation The sleeving shall be identified by one of the following means: a) in words and numbers; b) by the designation which follows; c) by both the above. IEC 684-3-121 (or 122) nominal bore size in millimetres wall thickness colour. For example: IEC 684-3-121-0.8-0.

25、4-white. Any abbreviation used for colour shall comply with IEC Publication 757. 3 Requirements 3.1 General Sleeving shall comply with the general requirements given in IEC Publication 684-1, with the dimensional requirements of Table I and Table II and with the other requirements in Sub-clause 3.4

26、and in Table III and Table IV. 3.2 Bore diameter Bore diameter shall be measured in accordance with Sub-clause 3.1 of IEC Publication 684-2 and shall comply with the requirements of Table I. Table I 3.3 Wall thickness Wall thickness shall be measured in accordance with Sub-clause 3.2 of IEC Publicat

27、ion 684-2 and shall comply with the requirements of Table II. Table II In addition, the minimum wall thickness at any cross-section, determined in accordance with Sub-clause 3.3 of IEC Publication 684-2, shall be not less than the nominal value minus the negative tolerance given in Table II. 3.4 Vol

28、atile content When tested by the method specified in Clause 12 of IEC Publication 648-2, the values shall be as follows: Sheet 121: test not applicable; Sheet 122: 1 % maximum. 36、BS 6893-3:Sections 121 and 122:1995 BSI 09-19995 Table IV Requirements for breakdown voltage Breakdown voltage shall be determined at room temperature and at elevated temperature using one of the three methods given in Sub-clause 21.2, 21.3 and 21.4 of IEC Publication 684-2. The results shall be not

37、 less than the values given in the table below. The rate of application of voltage shall be 500 V/s or such that the required breakdown value is reached between 10 s and 20 s.
