10、ational Standard specifies a gravimetric method for determination of the moisture content of cryolite, natural and artificial, and aluminium fluoride for industrial use. 2 REFERENCES IS0 1619, Cryolite, natural and artificial - Preparation and storage of test samples. 12、ontrolled at 110 It 5 “c. 5 PROCEDURE 5.1 Test portion Weigh, to the nearest 0,001 g, about 20 g of the crude test sample (see 3.2 of IS0 1619 or 2.2 of IS0 2925) in the weighing bottle (4.1), previously dried for 2 h in the oven (4.2) controlled at 110 f 5 “C, cooled in a desiccator and weighed, wi
13、th its lid, to the nearest 0,001 g. 5.2 Determination Regulate the temperature of the oven (4.2) at 110 f 5 “C. Insert the weighing bottle containing the test portion (5.1), with its lid resting on top without closing the bottle, and a watch-glass of diameter slightly greater than that of the weighi
14、ng bottle. After drying for 2 h, replace the lid by the watch-glass and transfer all to a desiccator. Afi-er cooling, close the weighing bottle with its lid and weigh to the nearest 0,001 g. 6 EXPRESSION OF RESULTS The moisture content is given, as a percentage by mass, by the formula m2-ml x 100 m0
15、 where m0 is the mass, in grams, of the test portion (5.1); m7 is the mass, in grams, of the weighing bottle, with its lid, containing the test portion after drying; m2 is the mass, in grams, of the weighing bottle, with its lid, containing the test portion before drying. 7 TEST REPORT The test repo
16、rt shall include the following particulars : a) the reference of the method used; b) the results and the method of expression used; c) any unusual features noted during the,determina- tion; d) any operation not included in this International Standard or in the International Standards to which refere
