The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member bod
6、y interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrote
7、chnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization. Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vo
8、te. ISO 6196-4 was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 171, Document imaging applications, Subcommittee SC 3, General issues. This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 6196-4:1987), of which it constitutes a technical revision. ISO 6196 consists of the following parts, under

17、 intellectual and a material nature. These exchanges often become difficult, either because of the great variety of terms used in various fields or languages to express the same concept, or because of the absence or imprecision of the definitions of useful concepts. To avoid misunderstandings and to
18、 facilitate such exchanges it is essential to clarify the concepts, to select terms to be used in various languages or in various countries to express the same concept, and to establish definitions providing satisfactory equivalents for the various terms in different languages. The purpose of ISO 61
19、96 is to provide definitions that are rigorous, uncomplicated and which can be understood by all concerned. The scope of each concept defined has been chosen to provide a definition that is suitable for general application. In those circumstances, where a restricted application is concerned, the def
20、inition may need to be more specific. However, while it is possible to maintain the self-consistency of this individual standard, the reader is warned that the dynamics of language and the problems associated with the standardization and maintenance of vocabularies may introduce duplications and inc
21、onsistencies among other standards. 22、-4:1998(E/F) v Introduction La micrographie donne lieu de trs nombreux changes commerciaux internationaux qui sont souvent rendus difficiles, soit par la diversit des termes employs dans diffrents milieux ou dans diffrentes langues pour exprimer une mme notion, soit par labsence ou limprcision des d
23、finitions des notions utiles. Pour viter des malentendus ayant leur origine dans le vocabulaire et faciliter ces changes, il convient de procder un choix des termes employer dans les diffrentes langues ou dans les diffrents pays pour exprimer la mme notion, et de rdiger des dfinitions assurant une q
24、uivalence satisfaisante entre ces diffrents termes. Le but de lISO 6196 est de procurer des dfinitions rigoureuses, simples et comprhensibles pour tous les intresss. La porte de chaque notion dfinie a t choisie de faon que sa dfinition puisse avoir la valeur la plus gnrale. Cependant, il est parfois
25、 ncessaire de restreindre une notion un domaine plus troit et de lui donner alors une dfinition plus spcifique. Par ailleurs, si lon peut assurer la cohrence interne de la prsente norme prise individuellement, la cohrence des diverses normes entre elles est plus difficile atteindre. Le lecteur ne do

It presents, in two languages, definitions of selected concepts used in micrographi

In order to facilitate their translation into other languages, the definitions are drafted so as to avoid, as far as possible, any peculiarity attached to a language. Each entry consists of a set of essential elements that includes an index number, one term or several synonymous terms, and a phrase defining one
44、 concept. In addition, an entry may include examples, notes or illustrations to facilitate understanding of the concept. Occasionally, the same term may be defined in different entries, or two or more concepts may be covered by one entry, as described in 1.3.5 and 1.3.8 respectively. The presentatio
45、n rules laid down in ISO 10241 are followed in ISO 6196. Other terms such as vocabulary, concept, term and definition, are used in this part of ISO 6196 with the meaning defined in ISO 1087.
