Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the steel straightedges of rectan- gular section and I section, hereinafter referred to as the It straightedges It. 2. Defin

5、itions The principal terms used in this standard shall be defined as given in Fig. 1. Dimensional Accuracy 4.1 S

13、 of the straightedge shall be 10 times as large as the straightness and height unevenness given in Table 1. 4.3 Perpendicularity of Working Face to Side Face The permissible values for the perpendicularity of the working face to the side face of the straightedge shall conform to Table 2. 5. Dimensio

Material and Finish The material of the straightedge shall be of SK 5 specified in JIS G 4401

16、or be equal to or superior to it. (Hs 35) for unhardened product, and Hv 490 (Hs 65) to Hv 620 (Hs 75) for hardened product. The working face of Grade A straightedge shall be lap-finished or be equal to or superior to it in finish, and the surface roughness shall be of 0.8 S for those of 1000 mm or

17、less in effective length and of 1.6 S for those exceeding 1000 mm in effective length. The working face of Grade B straightedge shall be grind-finished or be equal to or superior to it in finish, and the surface roughness shall be of 3.2 S for those of 1000 mm or less in effective length and 6.3 S f

18、or those exceeding 1000 mm in effective length. The hardness shall be Hv 170 (Hs 25) to Hv 245 Remark: The numerical values of Hs in parentheses are given for reference. 7. Method of Measurement of Accuracy 7.1 Straightness of Working Face The measurement of straightness of the working face shall be

19、 made by any one of the methods described below in a thermostatic room or in a place of little temperature change. shall be made on a flat and accurate plane in order to eliminate strain due to supporting of the straightedge. the measurement may be made by placing the side face on a plane. to 20 mm

26、e (see Fig. 4). If no accurate plane is provided, obtain the angle in horizontal direction by putting the side face of straightedge on the flat plane and then by fixing the reflecting mirror to the sine bar and letting it be in contact with the face to be measured of the straightedge (see Fig. 5). 33、 Height Unevenness Measure the height of the straightedge by using an indicating micrometer or a snap gauge with microindicator, and obtain the difference between the largest and the smallest values (see Fig. 7).
