8、rial Standard from Electronic Industries Association of Japan (EIAJYJapanese Standards Association (JSA), with a draft of Industrial Standard based on the provision of Clause 1, Article 12 of the Industrial Standardization Law. 33、-17 : 1987) Fixed capacitors for use in electronic equipment- Part 17 : Sectional specification : Fixed metallized polypropylene film dielectric a.c. and pulse capacitors Introduction This Japanese Industrial Standard has been prepared based on the first edition of IEC 60384-17 Fixed capacitors for

34、use in electronic equipment- Part 7 : Sectional specification : Fixed metallized polypropylene film dielectric a.c. and pulse capacitors published in 1987 without modifying the technical contents. Portions sidelined or underlined with dots are the matters not stated in the original International Sta

35、ndard. The IEC Standard number is based on the new numbering system of IEC Stan- dards put in force on January 1st 1997, and the Standard published before the said date is numbered by adding 60000 to the former number. This is only the change in the numbering system and the contents remain unchanged

Section one General 1 General 1.1 Scope This Standard, is a sectional specification based on JIS C 5101-1 - Generic specification, and applies to fixed capacitors with metallized electrodes and polypropylene dielectric for use in electronic equipment. Note : Capacitors which have mixed foil and me

37、tallized electrodes are also within the scope of this Standard, These capacitors may have “self-healing” properties depending on conditions of use. Capacitors covered by this specification are mainly intended for use with alter- nating voltage and/or for pulse applications. The maximum reactive powe

38、r appli- cable is 10 O00 var and the maximum peak voltage is 3 O00 V. Capacitors for reactive power exceeding 500 var at 50 Hz where the maximum peak voltage is 2 500 V are not covered by this Standard except when they are the highest part of a range of reactive powers mainly situated below 500 var

39、at 50 Hz. This Standard is not intended to cover capacitance values higher than 20 yF. Two performance grades of capacitors are covered, grade 1 for long-life applica- Capacitors for radio interference suppression are not included, but are covered Informative reference : In the original Internationa

44、1, the appropriate quality assessment pro- cedures, tests and measuring methods and to give general performance requirements for this type of capacitor. Test severities and requirements prescribed in detail specifications referring to this sectional specification shall be of equal or higher performa

45、nce level, because lower performance levels are not permitted. 1.3 Normative references The following standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. If the in- dication of the year of coming into effect (or the year of publication) is
