Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies n

5、on-ignition testing methods for non-sparking beryllium copper alloy tools to be used in mines, factories and other work sites where sparks may lead to explosion as well as aboard ships, on vehicles and aircraft. Remarks 1. The units and the numerical values given in I 1 in this standard are in accor

6、dance with the International System of Units (SI) and are appended for informative reference. 2. The testing method and the testing gas should preferably be selected by considering the actual condition of non-sparking beryllium copper alloy tools in use. 2. TvDes of Testing Methods . The testing met

7、hods shall be classified into the following four types: (i) Falling weight non-ignition testing method (2) Rotary friction non-ignition testing method (3) High-speed impact non-ignition testing method 3. Test - 3.1 Falling Weight Non-Ignition Test (i) Testing Apparatus A s shown in Attached Fig. 1,

8、the testing apparatus shall consist of the explosion chamber made of steel plate not less than 3 mm thick with a capacity of approximately 0.5 m3, the inclined frame supporting a steel plate on which the test steel plate to be mounted, and a weight dropping device. The explosion chamber shall be pro

9、vided with a gas stirring fan and a cellophane-covered opening large enough to expedite releasing explosion flames. (2) Instruments Used for Test The instruments used for test shall be as follows: (2.1) Test Piece dimensions as indicated in Attached Fig. 2. The test piece shall be of the shape and A

The weight shall be a steel block of approximately (2.3) Testing Steel Plate The material, the standard dimensions,

12、 the hardness and the surface roughness of the testing steel plate shall be as follows, and it shall be used as a plate exposed outdoors for not less than six weeks, thus being rusted in natural conditions. (a) Material G 4051. The material shall be S 55 C specified in JIS (b) Standard Dimensions Th

13、e standard dimensions shall be 350 mm x 350 mm x 15 mm. (c) Hardness The hardness shall be HRC 20 to 25. (d) Surface Roughness The surface shall be rougher than the roughness of 25 S specified in JIS B 0601. (3) Testing Gas A s the testing gas, those of 6.5 % methane and 93.5 % air, 5.3 % propane an

14、d 94.7 % air, or 21.0 % hydrogen and 79.0 % air in concentration shall be used. (4) Testing Method The testing gas in the explosion chamber as indicated in Attached Fig. 1 is sufficiently mixed with a gas stirring fan. Then, a test piece is connected to a weight with a bolt as given in Attached Fig.

15、 2 and it is let to fall by free dropping from a drop height of 4 m through a weight guide pipe to crash against the testing steel plate inclined at 45O. 3.2 Rotary Friction Non-Ignition Test (1) Test Apparatus As shown in Attached Fig. 3, the testing apparatus shall consist of the explosion chamber

20、ix weeks, thus being rusted in natural conditions. (a) Material G 4051. The material shall be S 15 C specified in JIS (b) Standard Dimensions The standard dimensions shall be $ 250 mm x 10 mm. (c) . Hardness The hardness shall be HRC 10 to 15. (d) Surface Roughness The surface shall be rougher than

21、the roughness of 25 S specified in JIS B 0601. (2.4) Pushing Device for Test Piece This device shall be driven by a pneumatic or a hydraulic cylinder. (3) Testing Gas (3). The testing gas shall be the gas specified in 3.1 (4) Testing Method The testing gas in the explosion chamber given in Attached
