3、e and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee, as the result of proposal for revision of Japanese Industrial Standard submitted by High Pressure Institute of Japan (HPI) with the draft being attached, based on the provision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industri
4、al Standard- ization Law applicable to the case of revision by the provision of Article 1 4 . Consequently JIS G 3602 : 1992 is replaced with this Standard. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some parts of this Standard may conflict with a patent right, application for a patent after opening

14、 alloy to be used for pressure vessels, nuclear reac- tors, storage tanks and others. 2 Normative references The standards listed in attached table 1 contain provi- sions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Stan- dard. The most recent editions of the standards (i
15、ncluding amendments) shall be applied. 3 Definitions For the main terms used in this Standard the definitions in JIS G 0601 apply. 4 Types and symbols The types and symbols of the clad steels shall be classi- fied according to the manufacturing methods and applications as given in table 1. Special applications include cases for high- temperature services and cases in the man
18、u- facture of some structures which involve rigorous processing of material. Class 2: Applies to clad steels other than those of class 1. 20、ding metal, whichever is the I smaller, or over 5 Chemical composition The cladding metal and base metal shall have a chemical composition specified in clause 11. The chemical composition of the cladding metals of the buildup welded clad steels and the buildup welded and rolled clad steels, however,
21、 shall be as agreed on between the purchaser and supplier, and the chemical compo- sition specified in the JIS for copper and copper alloy or in the JIS for the welding materials corresponding to the cladding metals of the specified thickness shall be applied, as appropriate. 6 Mechanical properties
22、 Clad steels shall be tested in accordance with clause 13 and the tensile strength, elongation, bendability and shearing strength shall be as given in table 2. For the root bend, the specifications for the base metal shall apply (4). However, where the inside radius in the specifica- tions less than the ove
24、rall thickness, it shall be con- sidered as a multiple of the thickness. The inside radius of the surface bend shall be 2 times the overall thick- ness (9, (?). 26、 tensile strength of base metal (N/mm2) OB2 : standardized lower limit value of tensile strength of clad- ding metal (N/mm2) ti : thickness of base metal (mm) t 2 : thickness of cladding metal (mm) (3) In a case of two-kind clad steels, where the base metals are forged steel or cast steel and where
27、designated by the purchaser, the tension test shall be carried out only for the base metal, and the yield point or proof stress and the tensile strength shall satisfy the standardized lower limit value of that base metal. 29、ment between the purchaser and the supplier. (4) There shall not be any cracks on the outside of the bent portion. (6) Where there is no provision for bending in the standard of the cladding metal, the surface bend test may be omitted. Further, where there is no provisions for bend- ing in the stand
30、ard of the base metal, the root bend test may be omitted. In any case, if requested by the purchaser, a bending test shall be executed set- ting the inside radius of bend generally at 2 times or over the overall thickness. (6) There shall not be any cracks 3 mm or over in length on the outside of th
31、e bent por- tion. (7) The side bend test may substitute for the surface bend test. In the side bend test, there shall not be any cracks 1.6 mm or over in length on the outside of the bent portion. (8) This property shall be applied to the clad steels 6 mm or over in overall thickness and 1.5 mm or o
32、ver in thickness of cladding metal. 7 Bonding condition and the bonding condition by ultrasonic testing shall be as follows: a) Clad steels shall be tested in accordance with clause 13 The bonding condition of the clad steels by ultrasonic testing shall be as given in table 3. 34、 of the clad steel. s Detection shall be conducted on the longitudinal and lateral lines of 200 mm pitch, and within 50 mm from or within 25 mm (to both directions) from the prearranged grooving line as centre. The length of one non-bonded part shall be 75 mm or under and the area of one non-bonded
35、part shall be 45 cm2 or under, and further the total area of non-bonded parts shall be 5 % or under of the overall area of the clad steel. b) The grades of bonding condition by the ultrasonic testing shall generally be F for class 1 and S for class 2. However, the combination of S for class 1 and F
36、for class 2 may also be designated, as specifically agreed on between the pur- chaser and supplier. The bonding condition of the buildup welded clad steels by the ultrasonic test- ing shall be as agreed on between the purchaser and supplier. c) 8 Corrosion resistance The corrosion test on the claddi
37、ng metal of the clad steels shall be performed when specifically designated by the purchaser, and its testing method and acceptance criteria shall be as agreed on between the purchaser and supplier. 39、h of the clad steels shall be in accordance with clause 11 for the base metal. However, these may also be subjected to the agreement between the purchaser and supplier. 9.2 be as follows: a) Tolerances on thickness The tolerances on thickness of the clad steels shall The tolerances on thickness of t

The tolerances on the thickness of the cladding metal designed as the reinforc- ing member, and of corrosion allowance that is a safety allowance specially de- signed and the like shall be as agreed between the purchaser and supplier. 42、 No tolerance shall be specified for the plus side. If particularly required, tolerances shall be as agreed on between the purchaser and supplier. Tolerances on overall thickness shall be in accordance with the following for- mula. Minus side = minus side tolerance of base metal + minus side toler-
43、ance of cladding metal Plus side = plus side tolerance of base metal when overall thickness is taken as nominal size + safety allowance The safety allowance shall be as agreed upon between the purchaser and supplier. c) Remarks : 9.3 Flatness The maximum value of the flatness of clad steels shall ge
44、nerally be in accordance with table 9 of JIS G 3193. However, this may be as agreed upon between the purchaser and supplier. Further, in the case where the base metal is forged steel or cast steel and for cladding welded clad steel, this provision shall not be applied. 10 Appearance The clad steel s
45、hall be free from defects detrimental to use. 11 Materials The materials of the clad steels shall be in accordance with table 5, and the cladding metal and base metal may be combined appropriately. Materials other than those of table 5, however, shall be as agreed on between the purchaser and suppli
