9、ntav opening hooks 2 The units and numerical values given in 1 in this Standard are based on the traditional unit system and are appended for informative reference. 2 Definition of terms Main terms used in this Standard are defined as follows: Names of parts in the wrist unit shall be as shown in at

12、e wrist unit shall be such that a terminal device can be screwed in easily and can be fixed firmly by being rotated within a necessary and allowable angle range. 4.2 Static strength and durability The static strength and durability shall meet the performance requirements of table 2 when the test of

16、 SS. 5.3 Mounting screws The mounting screws shall be metric fine threads specfied in JIS B 0207 and be M12X 1.5 and 10mm or longer in length. The mass of the wrist unit shall be 85g or less in the case of Al and 140g or less The material shall be SUS 304 specified in J I S G 4303 or those with at l

17、east the equivalent strength. 6 Appearance The appearance of the wrist unit shall be as follows: (1) The surface of the wrist unit shall be without noticeable scars, rust, or dirt. (2) The main body of the wrist unit shall be knurled to improve the condition of the joint with the forearm part of pla

18、stic upper limb prosthesis. The knurl wheel shall be 22 or 24 threads. 7 Parts Materials used for parts of the wrist unit shall be harmless to human body, free from unpleasant odour, and have corrosion resistance, moisture tolerance, and weather resistance, and meet the following requirements: (1) R

19、ubber Rubber shall be of a uniform composition and sufficiently durable to the use at the applied part. 21、o the use at applied part. 8 Tests 8.1 Conditions of a test place temperature and 65+30% humidity. 8.2 Tensile strength test The tensile strength test (1) shall be conducted to investigate whether or not a looseness is present between the insert part and main body when the wrist unit is fixed to a v

22、ertical direction and a tensile force of lOOON(iOO kgf) is applied as shown in figure 1. 23、 1 Tensile strength test method 8.3 follows: (1) The voluntary opening hook prescribed in JIS T 9217 is screwed into the wrist unit and the strength of the rubber band shall be adjusted to make the picking up force of the hook tip 15 N(1.5 kgf). (2) The control cable mounted at the control lever of

24、the hook is pulled to a direction at which the open and close of the hook can be done most efficiently and the minimum force (Fd necessary for opening the hook tip shall be set (figure 2). 26、um force (Fd to open the hook (3) The hook is placed in such a manner that its tip faces downwards with the axis of the wrist unit horizontal, and the hook is screwed into the wrist unit until the hook doesnt rotate anymore when a tensile force (FA in P2 direction (figure 2) is applied to the contro

27、l cable. (4) Using a push pull gauge, the control cable is pulled to a vertical direction to the central axis of the hook to loosen (figure 3). A force necessary (3) to initiate a rotation of the hook is obtained five times and the minimum torque value ( T m d of the wrist unit is obtained by multip

28、lying the mean value (Fa) by the distance (I ) from the centre of the wrist unit to the operation centre of the hook control lever. 29、aximum torque value (Tmax) of the wrist unit is obtained by the same method as (4. 8.4 Durability test The durability of the wrist unit shall be investigated using a test device with which the wrist unit performs continuous reciprocating rotations with a range of 140 degrees. An example of the devic

32、s screwed into the wrist unit firmly with the minimum torque value specified in 8.3(4) and set at the position of O degree in the test device. At that time, a lubricating oil such as a machine oil shall not be used at the screw parts. (2) The jig is rotated to the clockwise direction through 140 deg

33、rees fiom the minimum-torque position of the wrist unit and then reversed to a counterclockwise direction to the original angle. (3) The 140 degrees reciprocating rotations of the wrist unit are conducted 20 tirnedmin until reaching 5,000 times. (4) After the test is completed, the minimum and maxim

34、um torque values are measured by the method specified in 8.3(4) and 8.3(5). 9 Inspections 9.1 and mass, and the results shall conform to the provision of 4 and 5. partie s. 9.2 the results shall conform to the provision of 6.
