3、ndustry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee, as the result of proposal for revision of Japanese Industrial Standard submitted by Japan Packaging Institute (JPI)/ Japanese Standards Association (JSA) with the draft being attached, based on the provision of Article 12
4、Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law applicable to the case of revision by the provision of Article 14. Consequently JIS Z 1511 : 1995 is replaced with this Standard. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some parts of this Standard may conflict with a patent right, application for a

13、t of base paper ! l ) (g/mz) 50 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the gummed paper tapes which become adhesive when moistened with water used for the seal of a package (hereaf- ter referred to as “tape”). 19、om defects such as creases, blisters, tears, folds, flaws, mold, and blockings, and, it shall have adhesive coated uniformly on the base paper, and shall become adhesive when moistened with water. Also, after lamina- tion, it shall increase adhesive strength as the adhesive becomes dried. The tensil
20、e strength, tearing strength and adhesion performance shall be tested in accordance with clause 7, and shall meet the requirements given in table 3. I I I I I I I 6 Material 6.1 Base paper The base paper shall be kraft paper. The proportion of kraft paper shall be in accordance wit
22、h clause 4 of JIS P 3401. 6.2 Adhesives Water-soluble adhesives composed of natural and synthetic high polymers as the main components shall be coated on the base paper. 7 Test method 7 . 1 Test condition 7 . 1 . 1 Sampling method The sample shall be taken in accordance with JIS P 8110, and the test
23、 piece shall be taken from a roll of which four or more layers (full turns of the roll) are cut off from the end of the sample. The size and number of test pieces shall be in accordance with the requirements of the respective test items. However, when the specified size cannot be taken because of th
24、e small width, the test piece may be taken from the sample before being cut off. 7 . 1 . 2 Conditions at the time of test The conditions at the time of test shall be in accordance with JIS P 8111. 7 . 1 . 3 Pre-treatment conditions The pre-treatment shall be performed under the conditions in 7.1.2 f
25、or 12 h or longer. 7 . 2 weight shall be in accordance with JIS P 8124. Z 1511 : 2004 7 . 3 Measurement of dimension 7 . 3 . 1 Width For the width of tape, take a piece with a length of about 300 mm, measure three locations at almost the same intervals in the long
27、direction with the vernier caliper with 0.05 mm graduation specified in JIS B 7507, and obtain the average value. 7 . 3 . 2 Length For the length of tape, measure the length cut off for the measure- ment of width for a roll, and then unwind the remaining tape to measure the length, and take the tota
28、l of each length as the length of tape. In addition, perform the measurement on a flat table laying the tape in a straight line without especially applying tension to it. 7.4 Test method for tensile strength The test of tensile strength of tape shall be performed in accordance with JIS P 8113. 7 . 5
29、 Test method for tearing strength The test of tearing strength of tape shall be performed in accordance with JIS P 8116. 7.6 Test method for adhesion performance The test of initial pressure sensi- tive adhesion and adhesion strength for evaluation of adhesion of tape shall be per- formed in accorda
30、nce with JIS Z 0218. 8 Inspection 8 . 1 designed rationally. Sampling method The sampling method shall be a sampling inspection plan 8 . 2 Judgment The basis weight, dimensions, tensile strength, tearing strength and adhesion performance of base paper specified in table 1, table 2 and table 3 shall
31、be tested in accordance with the test method specified in clause 7, and at the same time, the quality specified in clause 5 shall be examined visually, and these tests shall be passed. 9 Packaging Wind up the tape sufficiently tight so that a strain is not gener- ated during the transportation, and
32、wind it up uniformly around the winding core so that both side faces become flat, and package every roll or as a unit of several rolls with moisture-proof packaging materials. 10 Marking The tapes shall be marked with the following information at a con- spicuous place on the package, a) Name b) Type
33、(2) c) d) Manufacturers name or abbreviation e) Dimensions (width mm x length m) Year and month of manufacture or their abbreviations Note (2) Individual packaging is excluded.
