、:56:10 MDTNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS -,-,- TIA-1094 iii 0FOREWORD 1 (This foreword is not part of this Standard) 2 This Standard was prepared by Technical Specification Group C of the Third Generation 3 Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2). This Standard contains the a

、ir interface requirements for 4 facilitating interworking between cdma200001 HRPD and 1x systems. This specification 5 applies to 1x Release 0 or higher mobile stations and base stations. This specification 6 applies to all releases of HRPD access terminals and access networks. 7 This is a supplemen

、tary specification to the 1x and HRPD air interface specifications. 8 This Standard consists of the following sections: 9 1. General. This section defines the acronyms and terms used in this document. 10 2. HRPD Notification in a 1x System. This section defines the procedures for notifying a 11 mobi

、le station of the arrival of mobile terminated data on the HRPD system. 12 3. HRPD System Information. This section defines the format and corresponding 13 procedures for the Alternative Technologies Information Message. 14 15 1 cdma2000 is the trademark for the technical nomenclature for certain sp

Compatibility, as used in connection with this Standard, is understood to mean: 2 A

、ny mobile station is able to place and receive calls. Conversely all base stations are 3 able to place and receive calls for any mobile station. 4 2. Those wishing to deploy systems compliant with this standard should also take 5 notice of the requirement to be compliant with the applicable rules an

、d regulations 6 of local administrations. 7 3. “Base station” refers to the functions performed on the land side, which are typically 8 distributed among a cell, a sector of a cell, and a mobile switching center. 9 4. “Shall” and “shall not” identify requirements to be followed strictly to conform t

、o the 10 standard and from which no deviation is permitted. “Should” and “should not” 11 indicate that one of several possibilities is recommended as particularly suitable, 12 without mentioning or excluding others, that a certain course of action is preferred 13 but not necessarily required, or tha

、t (in the negative form) a certain possibility or 14 course of action is discouraged but not prohibited. “May” and “need not” indicate a 15 course of action permissible within the limits of the standard. “Can” and “cannot” 16 are used for statements of possibility and capability, whether material, p

、hysical, or 17 causal. 18 5. Footnotes appear at various points in this Standard to elaborate and further clarify 19 items discussed in the body of the Standard. 20 6. Unless indicated otherwise, this Standard presents numbers in decimal form. 21 Binary numbers are distinguished in the text by the u

、se of single quotation marks. 22 7. The following operators define mathematical operations: 23 indicates multiplication. 24 x indicates the largest integer less than or equal to x: 1.1 = 1, 1.0 = 1. 25 x indicates the smallest integer greater or equal to x: 1.1 = 2, 2.0 = 2. 26 |x| indicates the abs

、olute value of x: |-17| = 17, |17| = 17. 27 indicates exclusive OR (modulo-2 addition). 28 min (x, y) indicates the minimum of x and y. 29 max (x, y) indicates the maximum of x and y. 30 x mod y indicates the remainder after dividing x by y: x mod y = x - (y x/y). 31 weight(x) indicates the number o

、f 1s in the binary representation of x. 32 indicates binary right shift operation. 33 indicates binary left shift operation. 34 8.
