、 This document identifies Spread Spectrum Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) 2 standards and informative documents published by the Telecommunications Industry 3 Association (TIA). The listing includes the standards required for implementing any of 4 the family of CDMA systems, including Air Inter
、face, Core Network, and Radio Access 5 Network (RAN). 6 The Spread Spectrum CDMA air interface was first published as TIA/EIA/IS-95. 7 TIA/EIA/IS-95 is a dual mode radio interface specification, which also contains the 8 analog mode. In the process of evolving TIA/EIA/IS-95 CDMA (digital) mode to al
、low 9 a migration from Second Generation (2G) (voice and low rate data) to 3G (high rate data) 10 wireless systems, cdma20001 specifications for 3G radio interface were introduced 11 through the Third Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2). In addition to TIA, 12 Standards Development Organization
、s (SDOs) from across the world collaborated to 13 produce a harmonized worldwide set of specifications for 3G cdma2000 systems. These 14 SDOs include the Association of Radio Industries and Businesses (ARIB) Japan, China 15 Communications Standards Association (CCSA), Telecommunications Technology 1
、6 Association (TTA)-Korea and The Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC)-17 Japan. 18 It is possible to deploy a 3G cdma2000 system by means of spectrally overlaying it over 19 an already deployed 2G TIA/EIA/IS-95 system in a single 1.25 MHz RF carrier, thus 20 allowing spectrum-efficient migr
、ation from 2G to 3G. 21 In consideration of these facts, the listing in this document includes a list of standards and 22 informative documents which support analog, 2G and 3G radio interface technologies. 23 24 1 cdma2000 is a registered trademark of the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA
