9、andards contain information deemed to be of technical value to the industry, and are published at the request of the originating Committee without necessarily following the rigorous public review and resolution of comments which is a procedural part of the development of an American National Standar

10、d (ANS). Interim Standards should be reviewed on a periodic basis by the formulating Committee and a decision made on whether to proceed to develop a TIA/EIA Standard on this subject. Interim Standards must be upgraded or cancelled by the Committee before the end of their third year of existence. hb

11、lication of this Joint Interim Standard for trial use and comment has been approved by the Telecommunications Industry Association. Distribution of this Joint Interim Standard for comment shall not continue beyond 36 months from the date of publication. It is expected that following this 36 month pe

12、riod, this Joint Interim Standard, revised as necessary, will be submitted to the American National Standards Institute for approval as an American National Standard. 18、500/1600 MHz bands. Operating frequencies for the GMR-2 Ground Terminal (Gateway or NCC) -to-Satellite Terminal (ST) uplinlddownlink are not specified , however, for ease of understanding, the present document describes the requirements for a GMR-2 Ground Terminal-to-Satellite Terminal uplinlddownli

19、nk operating in the 3000/6000 MHz C-Band. Requirements are defined for two categories of parameters: a) Those that are required to provide compatibility between the Mobile Earth Station, ground terminal, and satellite channels, connected either to separate or common antennas, that are used in the sy

20、stem. This category also includes parameters providing compatibility with existing systems in adjacent frequency bands; b) Those that define the transmission quality of the system. This standard defines RF characteristics for the Mobile Earth Station (MES), satellite terminal (ST), and ground termin

21、al (GT- Gateway or NCC). Unless otherwise stated, the requirements defined in this standard apply to the full range of environmental conditions specified for the equipment (see Section A.4). 2 Refe re nces The following documents contain provisions which, through reference in this text, constitute p

For the forward links, definition of the carrier frequency also requires specification of the Frequency Offset (FO) parameter which identifies either the ba

32、seline frequency plan (FO = O), or the offset frequency plan (FO = i), where the offset plan is obtained by shifting the baseline plan by 75 l and where units for all frequencies are in MHz. 39、mobile earth stations (MES) are given in terms of power levels at the antenna connector of the equipment. For mobile user terminal equipment with integral antenna only, a reference antenna with O dBi gain shall be assumed. For fixed Mobile Earth Stations, Ground Terminals, and satellite transmitters

40、 the requirements are specified in terms of EIRP (Effective Isotropic Radiated Power). The term transmit power refers to the measure of the power when averaged over the useful part of the burst (See Section A.2). The term peak hold refers to a measurement where the maximum is taken over a sufficient

41、 time that the power level would not significantly increase if the holding time were longer. 6.1 Transmit Power 6.1 .I 6.1.1.1 Mobile Terminal Mobile Earth Station (MES) The MES output power and corresponding power class shall be as defined in Table 6.1-1. 4 Copyright Telecommunications Industry Ass

43、al Extreme 39 dBm +I 5, - 0.0 +I 5, - 1.5 3 Power Class 4 shall correspond to a handset. The handset shall have 2.0 dBi antenna gain, and 30 days. The differential burst EIRP tolerance between two different control channels, after initial alignment to the same transmit level, shall be 30 days. Furth

44、ermore, the output EIRP actually transmitted by the NCC Terminal at each power control level shall form a monotonic sequence, and the interval between power steps shall be 0.5 dB + 0.2 dB. 6.2 Output RF Spectrum The specifications contained in this section apply to the Mobile Earth Station, the Gate

45、way Terminal, and the NCC Terminal. Due to the burst nature of the signal, the output RF spectrum results from two effects: a) the modulation process; b) the power ramping up and down (switching transients). The two effects are specified separately; the measurement method used to analyze separately

46、those two effects is based on the “ringing effect” during the transients, and is a measurement in the time domain, at each point in frequency. 6.2.1 Spectrum Due to the Modulation and Wide Band Noise The output RF modulation spectrum is specified in Tables 6.2-1 and 6.2-2. A mask representation of t

47、his specification is shown in Section A. 1. This mask applies for all RF channels mentioned in Section 4. The specification applies to the entire transmit band and up to 2 MHz on either side. a) Mobile Earth Station The figures in Table 6.2-1, at the listed frequencies from the carrier (in I b) a co

48、ntinuous, static sine wave signal at frequency fi and a level of 49 dBpV (emf) e., -64 dBm); c) any 148-bits subsequent of the 5 1 1-bits pseudo-random sequence, defined in CCITT Recommendation O. 153 fascicle IV.4, modulating a signal at frequency f2 and a level of 49 dBpV (emf) (Le., -64 dBm) such that fo = 2f1 - f2 and If2 - fil = 800 laz.
