UL has proposed requirements for the Fifth Edition of the Standard for Trans

Consequently, UL has decided to distribute the attached bulletin to subscribers of UL Standards Services for Panelboards and for Enclosed and Dead-Front Switches. Questions re

9、owing changes in requirements: The Addition of Requirements for Manual Transfer Switch Panels for Use in Optional Stand-By Systems. COMMENTS DUE: SEPTEMBER 29,2000 Attached as Appendix A for your review and comment are proposed requirements for UL 1008. Questions regarding interpretation of requirem

10、ents should be directed to the responsible UL Staff. Please see Appendix B of this bulletin regarding designated responsibility for the subject product categories. Please note that proposed requirements are of a tentative and early nature and are for review and comment only. Current requirements are

11、 to be used to judge a product until these requirements are published in final form. PROPOSED EFFECTIVE DATE These proposed requirements will necessitate a review and possible retest of currently Listed or Recognized products. Therefore, UL proposes that the new requirements become effective 24 mont

12、hs after publication. This is intended to provide manufacturers with sufficient time to submit modified products for investigation and to implement the necessary changes in production. Please note that this also includes the time that will be needed by UL to conduct a review of the modified product.
