4、mymindisfilledwit 第 2 页 hmemories,happy,sad,frustrating,andevenhumorous. tonightiwouldliketosharewithyousomeofthememoriesthatita kewithmeasileavewashingtonuniversity. itakewithmethememoryofmyofficeonthefourthflooroflopatah all- theroomattheendofthehallwaythatwastoohotinsummer,toocol dinwinter,andalw
5、aystoofarawayfromthewomensrestroom.the windowwasmyofficesbestfeature.wereitnotforthephysicsbu ildingacrosstheway,itwouldhaveaffordedmeaclearviewofthe arch.butinsteadigotaviewoftheroofofthephysicsbuilding.i alsohadaviewofonecorneroftheroofofurbauerhall,whichseem edtobeafavoriteperchforvariousspecieso
6、fbirdswhoalternat elywonperchingrightsforseveralweeksatatime.andihadanice viewofthephysicscourtyard,noteworthyasagoodplaceforwatc hingpeopleruntheirdogs.itsamazinghowfascinatingthesevi ewsbecamethelongeriworkedonmydissertation.butmyfavorite viewwasofanearbyoaktree.frommyfourth- floorvantagepointihad
