1、Unit 9 What does he look like?The first period (1a-1c)-by He Wei1 Analsis of the teaching material: This is the first period of UNIT 9. It is a listening and speaking lesson. From this lesson, the main topic is about “Physical appearance”.Students should know how to ask and describe peoples looks.2

2、Analsis of the students: the students have learnt “what does he like?” the Wh-question and “Is he.?/ Does he.?” the General questions. So they have the cognitive premise to learn this Unit and can connects the topic of this Unit naturally. We often talk about the topic about others apperance in dail

3、y life, so students will take intrested in the topic.3 Teaching objects:Knowledge objects. 1. the students can grasp these new words and phrases:tall ,medium height, short,thin , medium build,heavy, short hair ,long hair ,straight hair, curly hair, 2. the students can ask and describe pepoles looks

Post- listening: Pair work:Student A choose one of the pepole in 1a to describe ,Student B try to find him/her.StepIV:Production Groupwork: show an old picture of the teachers friend and,let students guess what the friend looks like now.Talk about in groups and try to draw a picture or write so

Then each qroup choose one student to show the picture or writing to the class.At last show the ture picture and judge which group guess most correctly.StepV: Summary Summarize this lesson and the students work .
