2、ems. InTouch is a component of the Wonderware FactorySuite ?. InTouch applications span the globe in a multitude of vertical markets including food processing,semiconductors, oil and gas, automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, transportation, utilities, and more.By using InTouch, you
3、can create powerful, full-featured applicationsthat exploit the key features of Microsoft Windows, including ActiveX controls, OLE, graphics, networking and more. InTouch can also be extended by adding custom ActiveX controls, wizards, generic objects, and creating InTouch QuickScript extensions.InT
4、ouch consists of three major programs, the InTouch Application Manager, WindowMaker and WindowViewer. InTouch also includes the diagnostics program Wonderware Logger. 5、 Application Manager organizes the applications you create and establishes which application is the default application. The default application is opened when either WindowViewer of WindowMaker is launched, whether they are launched from theInTouch Application Manager or from the Windows Start menu

The Application Manager is also used to configure WindowViewer as an NT service, to configure Network Application Development (NAD) for client-based and server-based architectures, and to configureDynamic Resolution Conversion (DRC) and/or distributed alarming. The DBDump and DBLoad database utili
7、ties are launched from theoriented graphics are used to create animated, touch-sensitive display windows. These display windows can be connected tographic windows created in WindowMaker. WindowViewer executes InTouch QuickScripts, performs historical data logging and reporting, processes alarm loggi
8、ng and reporting, and can function as a client and a server for both DDE and SuiteLink communication protocols.Running InTouch for the First TimeThe first time you run INTOUCH.EXE, the INTOUCH.INI file is automatically created. This file contains the default configuration settings for your applicati
9、on. As you configure your application, your settings are written to the INTOUCH.INI file.1. Start the InTouch program (INTOUCH.EXE). The Welcometo InTouch Application Manager dialog box appears.2. Click Next. A second Welcome to InTouch ApplicationManager dialog box appears displaying the default pa
10、th for the starting directory. For example,C:programfilesfactorysuiteintouch.3. To specify a different directory, enter the path to the directory inthe input box, or click Browse to locate the directory.4. Click Finish.5. The InTouch - Application Manager appears and automaticallysearches your compu
11、ter for any current InTouch applications. If an application(s) is found, an icon with the applications name will appear in the dialog box. For example:Creating a New Application1. Click the New File/New on theFile menu. The Create New Application wizard appears.2. Click Next. A second Create New App
12、lication wizard appears.3. In the input box, enter the path to the directory in which you wantyour application to be created or click Browse to locate thedirectory.4. Click Next.5. In the Name box, enter a unique name for the new applicationsicon that appears when the application is listed in the In
13、Touch Application Manager window.6. In the Description box, enter a description of the application.7. Click Finish. The InTouch - Application Manager reappearsdisplaying an icon with the name you specified for the newapplication. For example:8. To open an application, click the right mouse button as
14、 youselect it. Then click the name of the program you want to use for the application in the File menu or select the application in the list.Click the WindowMaker tool in the toolbar. (WindowViewercannot be executed for a new application.)InTouch Application ManagerYou will use the InTouch Applicati
15、on Manager to create new applications, open existing applications in either WindowMaker or WindowViewer, delete applications, and run the InTouch DBDump and DBLoad Tagname Dictionary utility programs.Running the InTouch Application Manager1. Start the InTouch program (INTOUCH.EXE). The InTouchApplic
16、ation Manager dialog box appears:When you select an application in the list, its name anddescription will appear in the box at the bottom of the screen. If you right-click the description box, a menu appears displaying the commands that you can apply to the selected text.2. To rename an applications
17、 icon, right-click the application in thelist, and then click Rename. Enter the new name and clickENTER.3. To delete an applications icon, right-click the application in thelist and then click Delete. A message box appears asking you to confirm the deletion. Click Yes or No.Hint: If you delete an ap
18、plication from the list, it does not delete your files or directory. If you need to display it later, on the Tools menu, click Find Applications. The Starting directory forsearch dialog box appears:Locate the directory to search and click OK. The InTouchApplication Manager will reappear displaying i
19、cons for allapplications that were found in the selected directory. Application Manager ToolsBy default, when InTouch is initially run, the Application Managers toolbar and status bar are displayed.The following briefly describes each of the Application Managers toolbar buttons:ButtonDescriptionExec
