John is one of the best basketball players in his school. 三 原级和比较级之间的转换： A+比较级+than +B = B+not +as/so +原级+as+A He is taller than I. = I am not so/as tall as he. =I am shorter than he/him.,四 比较级和最高级之间的转换： 比较级+than+a

(B) adj或adv的比较级或最高级的构成： 1.单音节和部分双音节adj构成比较级和最高级: 直接+er;+est 以e结尾+r;+st (nice,fine,late,close,large) 以y结尾 去y+ier; 去y+iest (pretty,easy,heavy,happy,funny,tasty) 双写后面辅音字母+er; +est (big,hot,fat,wet,thin,slim,red,sad),2.多音节和小部分双音节，前加more构成比较级,加most构成最高级 (beautiful,important,tired,careful,
6、interesting,dangerous,famous) 3.有些adj或adv的比较级和最高级呈不规则变化 （good/well, bad/ill, many/much,little,old,far） 4. 特殊的词 slow(slower,slowest) quick lucky easy slowly(more slowly,most slowly) quickly luckily easily,.,nicer,nicest,slimmer,slimmest,shorter,shortest,prettier,prettiest,morehumorous,most humorous,大
7、部分单音节词在词尾加-er或-est,以不发音的字母 e结尾的词，加-r 或-st,重读闭音节词 末尾只有一个辅音字母时，应先双写辅音字母，再加-er 或-est,以辅音字母+y结尾的双音节词，先改 “y”为“i”,再加-er或-est,部分双音节词和多音节词在前面加more或most,Work out the rule,一、规则形容词、副词的比较级最高级,harder,hardest,earlier,earliest,more happily,most happily,Summary:形容词、副词的比较级最高级 的构成基本相同. 但是形容词的最高级前要用定冠词the, He is the t
