Not only the monitor is easy to operate, but also p
3、eriodical monitoring is possible for long periods. This has been leading doctors to early detection and diagnosis of arrhythmia or angina, which is difficult with Holter monitoring. Based on the usage experience in a joint research conducted in the western region of China, usefulness of HCG-801 (OMR
4、ON HEALTHCARE Co., Ltd.) as a screening tool for cardiovascular diseases will be discussed.,HCG-801,Non-transmission type of portable ECG for home use,Induction system: bipolar single channel * recommended to record with right hand at V4 Heart rate range: 2 to 200 beats/min. Accuracy: bandwidth 0.05
5、 to 40Hz sampling rate 125Hz,Operation of HCG-801,Turn the unit on. Hold the unit with right hand. Place the index finger on the finger electrodes and press the chest electrode against the chest. 7、bnormal ECG were diagnosed by doctor examining the outcomes from both types of monitors. 9、,Result 1: Detection of Arrhythmia,21 cases of arrhythmia were detected with 12-lead ECG monitor while 32 cases were detected with HCG-801. Detection rate with HCG-801 is the same as or higher than that with 12-lead ECG monitor.,ECG Waveform Recorded with HCG-801,Sinus rhythm VPC * all of the ECGs a

This sugge
11、sts that more cases of abnormal ECG are detected with more leads.,Discussion: Epidemiological Study,Not only the portable ECG monitor, HCG-801 is easy to operate but also periodical monitoring is possible for long periods, which makes the device useful as an ECG monitoring tool for epidemiological s
12、tudies on a large group of subjects. It is suggested that the detection rate of abnormal ECG excluding arrhythmia will be increased, if provided that locations for recording ECG are adjusted.,Subjects: Clinical study,Outpatients to the division of cardiology at Nihon University Itabashi Hospital Sub
13、jects : 161 outpatients Sex : 98 males and 63 females Age : 68.2 +/-11.9 years old Period : December 2004 May 2005,Result 3: Concordance Rate on Doctors Diagnosis,Concordance Rate between 12-lead ECG and HCG-801 recorded at V4: 72.0% (116 out of 161 cases),Arrhythmia detected either with HCG-801 or
14、12-lead ECG: 11.8% (19 cases),Abnormality detected rather than V4: 14.3% (23cases),Others including artifact: 1.9% (3cases),Result 4: Detection of Arrhythmia and ST-T Segment Abnormality,Only one case of Af was not well detected with HCG-801. The other cases detected only with 12-lead ECG were due t
15、o the time lag of recording.,Result 5: Detection of ST-T Segment Abnormality with Single Lead,Waveform recorded with HCG-801,Cases of ST-T segment abnormality detected only at V5 on the same subject 12-lead ECG HCG-801 V4 V5 * all of the ECGs above are in 25mm/s, 10mm/mV,Discussion: Clinical Study,S
16、ince ECG is recorded with single lead for the portable ECG monitor, HCG-801, information from the result may be limited. Still, the result is well concordant with the outcome of 12-lead ECG. ST-T segment abnormality was detected with the portable monitor, which is useful to diagnose ischemic heart d
17、isease. It is suggested that the detection rate will be increased if recorded at appropriate location where ST-T segment abnormality is more commonly detected.,Conclusion,Since it is easy to operate the portable ECG monitor, HCG-801, it is useful not only for early detection and diagnosis of cardiov
18、ascular diseases at medical institutions but also on epidemiological study.
