Low-carbon refers to a minimal output of greenhouse gas emissions, specially re
2、fers to the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide.,Secondly, low-carbon life means a kind of life style that people do their best to reduce energy consumption and carbon greenhouse gas emissions.,What might happen if theres so much carbon?,Greenhouse Effect: The global temperature has been getting higher an
3、d higher; The sea level is rising continuously; The pests and diseases have been increasing; And so on.,Why do we advocate low-carbon life?,Long time ago, the Earth mother left our so rich energy, like water resources, climate resources, biological resources, land resources , mineral resources and s
4、o on.,But because of the development of the world industrial economy, the fast increase of population, and the unlimited increase of the human desire, our living environment is becoming more and more worse, like the resources reduce, water pollution ,air pollution,ect.,And the high-consumption and h
5、igh-pollution economy model and life style is becoming the killer of the earth and human beings. So the environment question and the sustainable development is the most urgent topic.,Therefore, we should protect our earth which is the only one that provide the living environment for human. and a low
6、-carbon life is needed by mans own health, harmony between human beings and nature and the development of mankind.,How to live a low-carbon life?,Each of us have Responsibility for the carbon greenhouse gases emissions,and Low-carbon life needs everyones participation. so in our daily actions, we sh
7、ould start from our own.,Firstly,in spirit, we should recognize that low-carbon life is not only a kind of lifestyle but also life attitude . as long as we wants, each person may be able to achieve!,Secondly, we should develop good habits in our daily lives.,Now,Let me give you a brief description f
8、rom the following five points. eating; wearing; housing; transportation; working.,Eating aspect:,We must reduce or even not to use of the disposable tableware and plastic bags;,Avoid ordering too much when eating out;,More vegetable and less meat and so on.,As to Wearing aspect:,Only buy the necessa
9、ry cloths;,No to buy cloths with animal leather.,Wear cloths with natural fibres;,housing aspect:,When building a house, we must use environmental protection material;,Buy the electronic applicants which are energy-saving and remember to turn off them when not used;,Use efficient light bulbs. 10、ind of bulbs use about one-third of the energy of normal bulbs and last 10 times as long.,transportation aspect:,Try our best to use the car less;,More walking, cycling, because they are good for our health and environment.,Try to use public transportation;,Working aspect:,If you dont use computer i
11、n a short time, you should change the computer into its “sleep“ mode for reducing 50% consumption;,Companies should encourage employees to use e-mail, MSN and other instant messaging tools instead of using fax machines and printers.,Moreover, we should try our best to call for people around us to take part in the low carbon lifestyle, informing them that living in a low carbon life not only can reduce emissions, but also do good to ourselves, so let us do it from now and set examples for our future generations.,Thank you,
