Transfer gear noise of MUA 4 x4 units have been one of the most se
4、verest customers claims, especially in the end of 1991. We have developed new methods t o duce transfer gear noise, which consisi of gear development making use of tooth contact patterns, a new regrinding syskm for shaving cutters, quality conml by the Gear Laboratory Group, improvement activities f
5、or gear production processes and s o on. By these developments extending for one year, we have succeeded in reducing the reject rate f r o m 4.5% to OS%, moreover improving the transfer gear noise rating f r o m 4.0 - 6.0 to 8.0 - 10.0 by GM rating (table 1) in 1993.
