8、s Committee, is based on ISO 5184:1979 published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It differs from the International Standard in specifying material that complies with BS 4577 rather than ISO 5182, since the requirements for softening temperature in BS 4577 are generally m
9、ore stringent than those in ISO 5182. This British Standard is being revised in several Parts and supersedes BS 4215:1967, which is withdrawn. Most of the Parts will be identical with or based on International Standards but, in instances where the United Kingdom was unable to give a vote of approval
10、 to the International Standard, a corresponding British Standard will be prepared, where possible, taking account of the reasons for disapproval. A further Part will also be published in due course, specifying electrodes, electrode holders and ancillary equipment of interest in the UK only. The foll

The comma has been used as a decimal

18、 and tolerances of straight resistance spot welding electrodes. It applies only to straight spot welding electrodes, where the electrode force Fmax given for diameter d1 in the table is not exceeded and where the centre lines of the electrodes are perpendicular to the workpiece. 2 References The tit
