GENERAZ, msmERATI0Ns This test aims to evaluate the influence of humidity on the regular : perfonmnce of electrical components of vehicles. . Test duration and tolerance of results can v
2、ary from one component to other, depending on its localization-in the vehicle and the required durability. A cyclic or periodical actioning of the component can be required, according to type! of perfomnce. 2 . 1 Ap-ratus required for this test consists of one chamber, one c i r i i t e r reservoir,
3、 one conveniently conditioned compressed air supplying source, one or mre atomized spray nozzles, provision for heating the chamber, and necessary control equipnent. There are not niandatory specifications for size and detailed ( construction of the apparatus, since the obtained conditionings meet t
4、he test requirements. 5、 of the chamber shall not fall - over the parts during the test. 2 . 1 . 2 Drops of water thatdrip from the parts shall not return to the water reservoir for re-atcitnzation. 2 . 1 . 3 Mat-rials used in the construction of the apparatus shall be full proof against corrosion that eventually the water
6、 mist m y provoke. 2-2 nedesvice to hold the component approximately at the center of the chamber and to keep it rotating at a constant speed of 8 RPM during the test. 2 . 3 Necessary equipnent to activate the component, whenever required, without test interruption. 3 . 1 Distilled water shall be us
7、ed. 3 . 2 Temperature of water mist shall be maintained between 25 OC an 35 OC during the test. 3 . 3 The water precipitation, colected by a 1 0 cm diameter funnel and connected to a graduated cylinder, shall be from 1 m3/h0ur to 2 &/hour. The above range shall be the average of at least 10 hours of testing operation. The ccmpnerit shall be
9、 msitiond inside the chamber according t o its regular assembly position in the vehicle, and the apparatus shall be activated after the lid has been hermetically closed. The component then keeps rotating around its vertical axle and exposeo to water mist at constant sped of 8 RPM during the specifie
10、d exposure period. A t the end of exposure perid, the atomization and rotating devices shall be turned off and the component Shall remain inside the chamber for 1 more hour, for drainage. After rainage, the component shall be removed from the chamber and the water infiltration shall be carefully evaluated. Results shall be expressed in ml of water.
