15、rs and shears shall be performed. It supplements IS0 8662-1, which gives the general specifications for the measurement of vibrations at the handle of hand-held power tools. It specifies the operation of the power tool under type test and other requirements for the performance of the type test. Nibb

16、lers and shears are used for cutting metal sheets. The principle of operation of the nibbler or the shear is that energy from a motor is transmitted to a mechanism causing a reciprocating motion. For the nibbler, a punch is driven through a die for cutting metal sheet or other material, and for the

17、shears, a pair of metal blades cuts the sheet. Nibblers and shears may be electrically, pneumatically or hydraulically driven. 19、suring the vibrations at the handles of hand-held pneumatically or hydraulically driven nibblers and shears. It is a type-test procedure for establishing the vibration value at the handles of the power tool when operating on a specified load. It is intended that the results be used to compare differ

20、ent power tools or different models of the same type of power tool. With the operation specified for the power tools, the values obtained will give an indication of those found in real work situations. 2 Normative references The following standards provide provisions which, through reference in this

21、 text, constitute provisions of this part of IS0 8662. At the time of publication, the editions indicated were valid. All standards are subject to revision and parties to agreements based on this part of IS0 8662 are encouraged to investigate the possibility of applying the most recent editions of t

23、easured Quantities to be measured are as follows: Part 1: General. a) the root-mean-square (r.m.s.) acceleration in accordance with IS0 8662-l :1988, 3.1, presented as a weighted acceleration in accordance with IS0 8662-l :I 988, 3.3; b) the air or hydraulic pressure; c) the reciprocating frequency.

25、.1 General The specifications for the instrumentation given in IS0 8662-l :1988, 4.1 to 4.6 apply. 4.2 Transducer The specification for the transducer given in IS0 8662-1:1988, 4.1 applies. 4.3 Mechanical filters It is normally not necessary to use a mechanical filter for measurements according to t

26、his part of IS0 8662 (see IS0 8662-l :1988, 4.3). 4.4 Fastening of the transducer Fastening of the transducer on the power tool handle shall be in accordance with IS0 8662-1:1988, 4.2. Small transducers may be affixed by using a suitable adhesive wax on a flat surface or by using a suitable resin. T

27、he fastening of the transducer shall be in accordance with the transducer manufacturers instructions (see figure 1). If the handle has a soft resilient cover this shall be removed, or a clamp, on which the transducer is mounted, shall be tightened securely around the resilient cover. If the tool has

28、 a handle with resilient cover, the test report shall state the action taken. A B C cl The transducer may be mounted in one of four ways: A: Using a hose clip to which a block is brazed or welded; B: Using an adaptor to which the transducer is screwed. The adaptor is mounted with the use of plastic

29、straps; C: Using a suitable adhesive; D: Grinding a flat surface and drilling and tapping a hole. Figure 1 - Options for the fastening of transducers 4.5 Auxiliary equipment The supply air pressure shall be measured using a precision class pressure gauge, in accordance with IS0 2787. The hydraulic p

30、ressure shall be measured with the same accuracy as the air pressure. 31、license from IHS -,-,- 0 IS0 IS0 8662-l 0:1998(E) The reciprocating frequency of the power tool during the test can be determined by an electronic filter, using the signal from the vibration transducer or other suitable means. 4.6 Calibration Calibration shall be carried out in accordance with IS0 8

32、662-l :1988, 4.8. 5 Measurement direction and measurement location 5.1 Measurement direction Measurements shall be made in the z-direction (see figure 2), i.e. the direction of the reciprocating operation. 5.2 Measurement location Measurements shall be made on the main handle, where the operator nor

33、mally holds the power tool and applies the feed force. The normal position of the transducer shall be on the underside of the handle halfway along its length. If the placing of the trigger makes this impossible, then the transducer shall be placed as close as possible to the hand position between th

During

36、testing, the power tool shall operate at rated pressure, rated cutting speed and be used in accordance with the manufacturers specifications. For pneumatic power tools, the air shall be supplied to the power tool by a hose having a length of at least 2 m, which is attached to the power tool via a th

37、readed hose connector and secured with a hose clip. A suitable feed force shall be applied to ensure a stable and smooth operation of the power tool and give rated performance in accordance with the manufacturers specification. During the test, the power tool shall be arranged so that the operator c

38、an have an upright or almost an upright posture and work the nibbler or shears cutting horizontally. The operator shall be able to hold the power tool comfortably during the test (see figure 3). 40、etal sheet of length long enough to allow the measurements to be finalized. The cut shall be as near the support as the power tool tested allows. The metal sheet shall have the maximum thickness specified by the manufacturer for the given material characteristics. The metal sheet used in the test sh

41、all be firmly secured to the test rig, which shall be mounted so that it does not have any significant resonance in the frequency range that can influence the test result. A typical rest rig is shown in figure 4. The metal sheet shall be broad enough to allow the support of the power tool. NOTE Ther

42、e should be no resonance between the mounted metal sheet and the power tool in the frequency range which may influence the result. The natural frequency of the metal sheet and power tool should be well below the operating frequency of the power tool, in order to minimize resonance problems. Figure 4

43、 - Test rig with workpiece 6.3 Operating conditions The nibbler shall be operated with a punch and die of the largest size specified by the manufacturer. They shall be sharp and in good condition. 45、he air pressure of pneumatically powered tools shall be measured in accordance with IS0 2787 and maintained as specified by the manufacturer. 7.2 Test procedure Three skilled operators shall each carry out one test series with the nibbler or shears to be tested. A test series shall consist of five t

46、est runs. In each test run, stable operation shall be established and transducer readings shall be taken over a period of not less than 4 s. 7.3 Validity of test Measurements shall be continued until a valid test series has been obtained, i.e. when the coefficient of variation (see 7.4) of five cons

47、ecutive weighted values, for the same operator, is less than 0,15 or the standard deviation is less than 0,30 m/s*. 7.4 Coefficient of variation The coefficient of variation of a test series, Cv, is defined as the ratio between the standard deviation, -1 of a series of measurement values and the mea
