Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the high tensile strength steel forgings, hereinafter referred to

5、as the !steel forgingsf1, mainly used. for transmission tower flanges. Remark: The units and numerical values given in in this Standard are based on the International System of Units (SI) and are appended for informative reference. Further, the traditional units accompanied by numerical values in th

6、is Standard shall be converted to the SI units and numerical values on Jan. 1, 1991. 2. Classification and Symbol The steel forgings shall be subdivided into one class and its symbol shall be SFT 60 (applicable to Dec. 31, 1990) or SFT 590 (applicable on Jan. 1, 1991). 3. Chemical Composition The st

7、eel forgings shall be subjected to the test of 10.1 and the ladle analysis thereof shall be as given in Table 1-1 or Table 1-2. Applicable Standards: See page 7. The yield point or proof stress, tensile strength, elongation, and Charpy absorbed energy thereof shall b

13、e as given in Table 2-1 or Table 2-2. In that case, the Charpy absorbed energy shall be average value of three test pieces. Table 2-1. Carbon Equivalent The carbon equivalent of steel forgings

Shape, Dimensions and Tolerances Thereof The shape, dimensions and their tolerances of steel forgings shall be a, as

17、agreed upon between the delivery parties concerned. 7. Appearance The appearance of steel forgings shall have- a good finish and shall be free from cracks, flaws, etc, harmful to use. 8. Soundness For the soundness of steel forgings, they shall be free from defects harmful to use. Further, the crite

18、rion for acceptability of the soundness of steel forgings shall be as agreed upon between the delivery parties concerned. 9. 29、to a main forging direction. However, in the case where steel products obtained by rolling an ingot are used, it is sampled vertical to the rolling direction. 36、orgings shall be in accordance with 4.3 of JIS G 0306. 11. Retest The retest of the mechanical test shall be in accordance with 5.1 of JIS G 0306. 12. Inspection 12.1 Inspection The inspection of steel forgings shall be as follows: ( i ) General matters of the inspection shall be as described in 6.
