8、der” , composed mainly of a single phase trans- former of a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, electronic switch and a pneumatic electrode pressing device, and principally used for welding thin steel plates. Remarks : The normative references to this Standard are as follows. JIS C 9305 JIS C 9313 General

10、 The ratio of on-load time to the total period when a constant load is intermitted, as expressed in percentage. rated capacity The on-load input power which complies with the specified tem- perature rise when a welder is loaded at the rated input voltage of rated frequency and a duty cycle of 50 % b

11、y adjusting the load, as expressed in kVA. maximum input voltage at no-load The maximum voltage which can be applied across input terminals of a welder. input voltage at maximum load A voltage across input terminals of a welder when the rated maximum welding current is passed. maximum secondary no-l

12、oad voltage A secondary open-circuit voltage when the rated input voltage is applied to the tap which can produce the maximum current of a welding transformer. maximum short-circuit current A current flowing through the secondary circuit when the maximum on-load input voltage of rated frequency is a

13、pplied to the tap which can produce the maximum current of a welding transformer while the upper and lower electrodes are short-circuited under the standard throat dimensions. maximum welding current A current equal to 90 % of the maximum short-circuit current. rated maximum welding current A nomina

14、l current stated in the nameplate cor- responding to 90 % of the maximum short-circuit current. rated marimum welding input power The apparent power at the input side when the rated maximum welding current is passed, as expressed in kVA. 18、ncy, provided the period of interrupting the rated maximum welding current is 60 sec. (il) rated welding force A pressing force of electrodes which is guaranteed when com- pressed air of 490 kPa is used under the standard throat dimensions. (12) standard throat depth The distance between the center

19、line of electrode holders and the front face of a welder body. (13) horn spacing The distance between the upper arm mechanism and lower arm mechanism when movable parts thereof are set to their standard positions. The standard positions of upper and lower arms are such positions where the upper arm

20、is raised 15 mm above the lowest position of electrode stroke and the lower arm is so adjusted that the interval between the two arms is minimum. 24、ater The electric resistivity of cooling water for thyristors used in the main circuit shall be not less than 5 OOOs1 -cm and the quality of water shall be similar to that of industrial water. This requirement does not apply, however, to the cooling water used for thyristor whose water cooler is ins

25、ulated electrically. 5.3 Flow rate and pressure of water The flow rate of cooling water of welder shall not exceed 6 ilmin for types 1 and 2, and 10 Zlmin for types 3 to 6. Further, the pressure difference between inlet and outlet shall be 69 kPa or under when water is passed at the flow rate indica

26、ted on the nameplate. 6 Ratings 6.1 Rated frequency The rated frequency shall be 50 Hz or 60 Hz. 6.2 Rated input voltage The rated input voltage (at no-load) shall be 200 V or 400 V. 6.3 Maximum input voltage at no-load The maximum input voltage at no-load shall be 230 V and 460 V when the rated inp

27、ut voltage is 200 V and 400 V, respectively. 6.4 Input voltage at maximum load The input voltage at maximum load shall be 180 V and 360 V when the rated input voltage is 200 V and 400 V, respectively. 7 Characteristics 7.1 Electrical characteristics 7.1.1 Rated capacity Welders shall have the rated

28、capacities given in Table 1. 7.1.2 input power) of JIS C 9305 when the test of 10.2 is carried out. 35、ltage of welding transformer shall comply with 6 . 1 . 5 of JIS C 9305 when the test of 1 0 . 8 is carried out. 7 . 2 Mechanical characteristics 7 . 2 . 1 Maximum welding force The maximum welding force shall be not less than the relevant rated welding force given in Table 1, when measured by the me

36、thod of 1 0 . 9 . 7 . 2 . 2 Adjustable range of welding force The welding force shall be continuously ad- justable throughout the range from 30 % to 100 % of the relevant rated welding force given in Table 1 when measured by the method of 10.10. 7 . 2 . 3 Eccentric welding force The ratio of the ecc

42、ode The stroke of electrode of a welder shall be not less than the value given in Table 1. 8.1.5 Electrode holder The diameter of electrode holder, diameter of insert hole for electrode, taper of electrode and length of tapered part shall be as given in Table 3. 45、e equivalent or superior in performance shall be used for main current circuit. 8 . 2 . 2 characteristics at least equal to those of type N2 specified in JIS C 9313. Control device A welder shall be provided with a control device which has the 8 . 3 Piping system for cooling water The size of piping

46、 system for cooling water shall be adequate for its passage at the flow rate indicated on the nameplate with the pres- sure difference of 69 kPa or under between inlet and outlet. The cooling water system shall withstand the hydraulic pressure of 290 kPa. As a rule, appropriate joints should be used

47、 : “he 3/8 B carbon steel pipe specified in JIS G 3452 at the water inlet port, and the 1 1 2 B carbon steel pipe at the water outlet port. 8.4 Piping system for compressed air Standard pressure of compressed air used for welders shall be 490 kPa and the parts used for the pneumatic system shall wit

48、hstand the pneumatic pressure of 690 kPa. The carbon steel pipe corresponding to 3/8 B of JIS G 3452 shall be used for inlet side piping. However, the carbon steel pipe corresponding to 1/2 B of JIS G 3452 shall be used for welders of types 5 and 6, as a rule. 9 Safety 9.1 piping for cooling water The cooling system of a welder integrating thyristors, etc., and requiring the cooling water shall comply with the following provisions: (1) Welders shall be so constructed that metallic parts having a length of 50 mm or more along the water flow are provided at the inlet and outlet ports and are e
