2、Industrial Standard revised by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry through deliberations at the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee, as the result of proposal for revision of Japanese Industrial Standard submitted by Glass-fiber Association of Japan (GFA)/Japanese Standards Association (

3、JSA) with the draft being attached, based on the provision of Article 12 Clause 1 of the Industrial Standardization Law applicable to the case of revision by the provision of Article 14. Consequently JIS R 3416 : 1992 is replaced with this Standard. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some pa

4、rts of this Standard may conflict with a patent right, application for a patent after opening to the public, utility model right or application for registration of utility model after opening to the public which have technical properties. 10、e glass fabrics 1 Scope This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the finished textile glass fab- rics(1) (hereafter referred to as ?finished fabrics?) to be used for glass fibre reinforced plastics by making plastics (thermosetting resins, thermoplastic resins and the like) as the binder. Note (1

11、) The finished textile glass fabrics mean those in which the glass fab- rics specified in JIS R 3414 is used, the cleaning treatment is per- formed so as to be fit in the moulding by plastics and then the surface treatment such as silane treatment, etc. is performed. 2 Normative references The follo

12、wing standards contain provisions which, through reference in this Standard, constitute provisions of this Standard. The most recent editions of the standards (including amendments) indicated below shall be applied. JIS L O101 Tex system to designate linear density of fibres, yarn intermediate, yarn

For the purposes of this Standard, the definitions given in JIS R 4 Division and classification The division of finished fabrics shall be in accor- dance with Table 1 depending on the classification of glass and weave. The classi- fication of fin

15、ished fabrics shall be in accordance with Table 2 and Table 3 by combining the classification of glass fabrics before treatment specified in JIS R 3414 and their symbols with the letter ?F? representing the finished fabrics. 32、hall be tested according to clause 7 and conform to the requirements from a) to d) as follows. 35、roll of finished fabrics shall be usually 30 m, 50 m or their integral multiple. However, the number of breaks or joints of not less than three points in one roll shall not be allowed. Moreover, the length of one piece shall be not less than 10 m. 6 Appearance For the appearance of finished fabrics,

36、 the defects detrimental to use such as dirt, fuzz, weaving irregularities, irregular colours, folds, yarn cast-off and the like shall not be allowed. 7 Test methods 7.1 with clause 5 of JIS R 3420 or Annex 1 of JIS R 3420. Or, it shall be in accordance with Annex 11 of JIS R 3420. Which test method has been used fo

40、r the test carried out shall be mentioned in the test report. 7.4 Width For the width, measure at five points at intervals of not less than ap- proximately 300 mm according to 7.7 of JIS R 3420 and represent it with the mean value. Or, it shall be in accordance with Annex 9 of JIS R 3420. Which test

43、 out shall be mentioned in the test report. 7.7 Appearance For the appearance, carry out the test visually under an adequately illuminated condition. 8 Inspection For the inspection of finished fabrics, the samples shall be taken by a reasonable sampling method such that specified in JIS Z 9015-1, c

44、arry out tests of clauses 5 and 6 according to clause 7 and the acceptance or rejection shall be judged. However, a part of inspection items may be omitted according to the agreement between the parties concerned with delivery. 9 Packaging The finished fabrics shall be packaged by an adequate method

R 3416 : 2003 11 Marking For the marking of finished fabrics, the following items shall be marked on the easily visible position of package by an easily indelible method. a) Symbol representing

46、 classification b) Width and length c) d) The number of breaks or joints(9, if any Name of manufacturer or its abbreviation e) Month and year of manufacture or their abbreviation Note (5) For those having breaks or joints, the existence of breaks or joints shall be marked at the position of them.
