6、hape of test piece shall conform t o Fig. 1 and Table 1, and shall be cut out from a test materiai joined by not less than 10 continuous spot weldings as shown i n Fig. 2. In Fig, 2, the pitch of spots (Pl shall conform to the value shown i n Table 1 as the standard, but it may be adjusted as the pu

7、rpose of the test may require. Further, a single spot test piece as given i n Fig. 1 may be used, i f the purpose of the test so requires. 9、 Plates Different i n Thickness and Quality The test piece for the joint of plates different i n thickness and quality shall have a thickness of the base metal, whichever is less i n the product of tensile strength and the thickness. 2.3 Lap Joint of Three or More Plates The test material and test p

10、iece shall be prepared following 2.2. 2.4 Precautions for Preparing T e s t Piece Compensation for Reactive Bypass Current No adjustment for com- pensating reactive bypass current shall be made during welding operation of the test material forcontinuous spot welding, except for the case where the ma

11、chine is provided with an auto- matic switching by control equipment, o r with an automatic com- pensation. Sequence of Welding The test material shall be continuously spot welded from one end towards the other. Dressing of Electrodes materials or test pieces, the surfaces of electrode tips shall no

12、t be dressed, reformed or replaced for the period of welding at least 20 spots, for steel; o r at least 10 spots, for aluminium or its alloys. During the operation of welding test 3.
