This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the significant surface( l) of the ceramic sprayed coatings (hereafter referred to as “coatings“) applied for the purpose of giving wear resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, heat insula- tion, etc. to parts,

5、products, etc. Scope Note (l) The significant surface herein means the surface important to the use of the product. Remarks 1. The ceramic thermal spraying means which is carried out with plasma spraying, powder flame spraying, or rod flame spraying by using ceramics having metal oxides such as alum

6、inium oxide, chromium oxide, titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, etc. as main components. The following standards are cited in this Standard. JIS H 8200 Thermal spraying terms JIS H 8666 Testing methods for thermal sprayed ceramic coat- ings JIS H 9302 Recommended practice for ceramic sprayed coatings

Definitions For the main terms used in this Standard, the definitions in JIS 3. shall be as given in Tables 1 to 3 according to the main components and the pur- poses of application. Quality 4.1 6.1, the surface of the coating shall be uniform in texture and free from crack, blister, lift, unmelted particle, spatter, adhering foreign matters, and o

26、ther defects harmful to use. 4.2 section, when the coating is subjected to the test in 6.2, the spray particle shall show uniform dispersion, and the coating cross section shall be free from defects such as crack, unmelting, etc. and harmful contaminants (foreign matters) and voids on the boundary s

27、urface between the substrate surface and the coating. Further, the position and criteria for photographing of microscopical sectional structure shall be determined as agreed upon between the purchaser and the sup- plier according to the purpose of use. 4.3 The coating thickness, when subjected to th

28、e test in 6.3, shall be determined as agreed upon between the purchaser and the supplier accord- ing to the purpose of use. 4.4 Adhesiveness Adhesiveness between the coatings for wear resistance or chemical resistance and the substrate surfaces, when subjected to the tests in 6.4, shall be as follow

29、s. (i) When subjected to the heat cycle test for peeling, shall be free from peeling, blister, etc. of coatings. (2) The coating, when subjected to the adhesion strength test, shall have adhesion strength as given in Tables 4 to 6. 4.5 Coating hardness jected to the test in 6.5, shall have hardness
