、 not part of this standard.) This document has been submitted to APCO/NASTD/FED by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), as provided for in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated December 1993. That MOU provides that APCO/NASTD/FED will devise a Common System Standard for digital pub

、lic safety communications (the Standard), and that TIA shall provide technical assistance in the development of documentation for the Standard. This document has been developed with inputs from the APCO/TIA Project 25 Interface Committee (APIC), the APIC Trunking Task Group, and TIA Industry members

、. This document is being published because it is felt that there is an urgent need for technical information on the emerging digital techniques for Land Mobile Radio Service. This document describes enhancements to the control channel messages for trunked systems meeting the Project 25 requirements

、in order to support the Project 25 ISSI. These definitions are necessary to insure interoperability of trunked radio units. As other documents describing the trunking protocol are developed, this document will be subject to change, Additional reason codes and additional messages covering working cha

、nnel maintenance may be needed. Some efforts have been made to ensure accuracy, but it should be understood that conformance tests remain to be developed and proven. This document is a standard. It presents an overview of trunking messages which was recommended by TIA to APCO/NASTD/FED as being suit

、able for use as part of their standard for a digital public safety radio system (Project 25). TIA expects that APCO/NASTD/FED shall establish and publish one or more standards for trunking operation. This addendum defines the trunking control channe

、l message changes required to support the Project 25 ISSI feature of Project 25 digital trunked radio systems. Addendum Scope This addendum enhances trunking control channel messages to support: (1) identification of SUs using their full SUIDs in SU-to-SU call grants and call service cancellation re

、quests; (2) assignment of a WGID and an AGID during affiliation to an SG whose home is in another WACN or System; (3) absence of valid target WUID when queuing or denying individual audience services involving an SU whose home is in another WACN or System; (4) inclusion of Twuid_validity in SYS_SRV_

、BCST messages; (5) ISSI-related deny reason codes. This document will only include information relevant to the above-listed functionality. The reader is referred to TIA-102.AABC-B for all other pertinent information. The next complete revision of TIA-102.AABC-B will incorporate the changes contained

、 in this addendum. Changes to TIA-102.AABC-B for this feature are described in this document starting at Section 1. Note that section numbers identified in this addendum directly translate to section numbers in the TIA-102.AABC-B, Trunking Control Channel Messages document. Addendum Revision History
