1、Unit 8 Have you read Treasure Island yet ?一 、教学目标重点词汇：forever ; abroad ; ever since ; fan ; southern ; modern ; success; belong ; one another ; laughter; beauty ; million ; record ; 学习目标：学会通过阅读，寻找关键信息，并利用关键信息完成对段落大意的归纳。重点难点：引导学生在阅读的过程中能借助关键信息对文本大意进行归纳或概括。文化知识：了解美国乡村音乐的一些知识。情感目标：能寻找一种合适的方式减压，积极面对生活，乐
2、观面对人生。二、教学过程1.欣赏Garth Brook 的成名曲The River,使学生对美国的乡村音乐有一个直观的了解，并且从这首歌曲中引出本堂课的一些生单词：beauty ; million ; record;ever since;fan ; abroad ; forever ; belong 2.文本分析读前预测。 （1）从标题A Country Music Song Changed Her Life Forever来推断，本文主要讲哪种音乐类型。从题中的forever可知推测出：the country music is magic .(2) 由标题和文中所给出的图片，可以有一些提出一
3、些疑问：How did the country music change Sarahs life? What is the country music ? 由此引出各三个段落的主要意思，要求学生略读全文并与三段主要意思相匹配。读中：(1) 仔细阅读第一段，并根据课本内容填空，同时引出一些新的单词和词组，并让学生根据上下文猜测fight over的意思。（2）仔细阅读第二段并判断正误，若是错误的，则要求学生根据课本内容改正。同时向学生展示哪些区域是美国南部，哪里是Tennessee ,哪里是Nashville . 在回答过程中让学生猜测modern是什么意思。（3）仔细阅读第三段，并划出问题，同
4、时猜测live的用法以及告知学生它的读音。读后：（1）在老师的帮助下，完成第一段关键信息的查找，以小组讨论的形式，查找二、三两段中的关键信息。（2）学生借助关键信息一人一到两句进行复述。（3）全班同学看着屏幕上镂空的文章一起复述。3.小组讨论：Sarah的性格会发生什么变化？ 她将来会如何对待别人？personalities：be polite; friendlyrelations: improve the relations between parents and friends activities: get on well with others ; smile at others ;
