1、Unit 7 We need to make some preparations before wetravel.(第三课时教学设计)一、教材分析1 .教学内容本课时系教材英语基础教程(2)第七单元的第三课时,包才Language in use中Grammar focus 部分,具体内容为:时间状语从句(由 when、while、before after、since、as soon as till、until、once等)的用法。2 .教学重点、难点教学重点a.时间状语从句的基本概念;b.时间状语从句的引导词;c.时间状语从句的常见用法。教学难点能够理解并应用时间状语从句表达事件发生的时间。二

2、、教学目标1 .知识目标复习由that引导的宾语从句;充当宾语从句引导词的疑问代词和疑问副词;宾语从句的时态和语序;2 .能力目标能够正确使用时间状语从句的基本句式结构;能够正确理解并运用不同的引导词;能在口头及书面表达中灵活正确的运用各类时间状语从句的引导词,表达自己的观点。3 .情感目标运用时间状语从句表达自己的观点,树立英语学习的信心。三、教学步骤Step One Lead-in1 .Revision. Teacher presents a sentence to the students我知道约翰已经去了成都-I arrived in Shanghai yesterday.I arri

3、ved in Shanghai at 7 o clock.I liked singing songs when I was young.从刚才的例句当中可以看出,划线部分在句子中表示事件发生的时间,即时间状语,第三 个句子是用一个简单句来表示事件发生的时间,我们称为“时间状语从句”。2 .Present the temporal clause (adverbial clause of time ) on the book to the students:We need to make some preparations before we travel.As your boat drifts

7、时表示“就在那时”。由while引导的从句的谓语动词的动作必须是延续性的,强调主句和从句的动作同时发生(或者相对应),while有时还可以表示对比。2)由before和after引导的时间状语从句We need to make some preparations before we travel.旅行前我们需要做一些准备工作。After he had finished the work, he went home.完成工作之后,他回家了。3)由since 引导的时间状语从句I have been in Beijing since you left home.自从你离开家以来,我就一直在北京了。

8、4)由as soon as引导的时间状语从句As soon as I arrive there, I will ring you up.我一到那里,就给你打电话。5)由till 或 until 引导的时间状语从句I didnt go to bed until / till my mother came back. 直到妈妈回来我才上床睡觉。I worked until my boss came back.我工作到老板回来为止。6)由once 引导的时间状语从句(暗含条件意味)Once you start, you will never give up.一旦你开始了,就永远不要放弃。(设计意图:
