9、d This Section of BS 5626 has been prepared under the direction of the General Electrotechnical Engineering Standards Committee. It is identical with IEC Publication 554-3-2:1983 “Specification for cellulosic papers for electrical purposes. Part 3: Specifications for individual materials. Sheet 2: C

10、apacitor paper” published by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Other Parts and Sections of BS 5626 are given under “Cross-references” in this national foreword. BS 5626 now supersedes BS 698:1956, BS 4295:1968 and BS 5068:1974 which are withdrawn. WARNING NOTE. This British Standa

11、rd calls for the use of a substance that may be injurious to health, i.e. trichlordiphenyl (see Table I), if adequate precautions are not taken. It refers only to the technical suitability and does not absolve the user from legal obligations relating to health and safety at any stage. Terminology an

12、d conventions. The text of the International Standard has been approved as suitable for publication as a British Standard without deviation. Some terminology and certain conventions are not identical with those used in British Standards; attention is drawn especially to the following. In the introdu

13、ction, the words “This standard is one of a series which deals with” should be read as “BS 5626 deals with”. Similarly, the words “The series consists of three parts” should be read as “BS 5626 has the following three Parts”. Also, in the introduction, for “Sheet” read “Section”. In clause 1 “Scope”

14、, the words “This sheet” should be read as “This Section of BS 5626”. Where the words “shall be subject to agreement between supplier and purchaser” appear, e.g. in the “Remarks” column of Table I against “Ash”, this should be taken to indicate that the subject matter concerned is not inherently par

15、t of the requirements of the standard, but should be included in the purchase contract. The use of polychlorinated biphenyls is covered by EEC Directive 76/769/EEC and subsequent Directives amending it. These Directives do not prohibit the use of polychlorinated biphenyls for primary and intermediat

16、e products for further processing into other products, which are not prohibited under these EEC Directives. The series consists of three parts: Part 1: Definitions and General Requirements (IEC Publication 554-1); Part 2: Methods of Test (IEC Publication 554-2); Part 3: Specifications for Individual Materials

26、. Sheet 1: General Purpose Electrical Paper and Sheet, Sheet 3: Crpe Paper, and Sheet 4: Electrolytic Capacitor Paper, have already been published. Sheet 2 Class 2: Capacitor paper 1 Scope This sheet contains the requirements for capacitor kraft paper: Type 2.1: Kraft capacitor paper. Type 2.2: Kraf

27、t capacitor paper, high reliability. Type 2.3: Kraft capacitor paper, low loss. Type 2.4: Kraft capacitor paper, high reliability, low loss. 2 Requirements 2.1 For sampling procedures see ISO Standard 186: Paper and Board Sampling for Testing. 2.2 The paper shall comply with the general requirements

42、rting at the highest and allowing at least 30 min for temperature stabilization of the windings at each temperature, using a guarded bridge with a tuned detector, to an accuracy in conformity with Sub-clause 7.3 of IEC Publication 250: Recommended Methods for the Determination of the Permittivity an

43、d Dielectric Dissipation Factor of Electrical Insulating Materials at Power, Audio and Radio Frequencies including Metre Wavelengths. The measurements shall be made at a potential gradient of 15 kV/mm calculated on the nominal thickness of the paper. The result at any temperature is the central valu

44、e of the three measurements. Values are given for trichlordiphenyl but another impregnant may be used where appropriate.
