4、 music and jazz!Lesson43 Over the South Pole 飞越南极In 1929, three years after his flight over the North Pole, the American explorer, R. E. Byrd, successfully flew over the South Pole for the first time. Though, at first, Byrd and his men were able to take a great many photographs of the mountains that

5、 lay below, they soon ran into serious trouble. At one point, it seemed certain that their plane would crash. It could only get over the mountains if it rose to 10,000 feet. Byrd at once ordered his men to throw out two heavy food sacks. The plane was then able to rise and it cleared the mountains b

6、y 400 feet. Byrd now knew that he would be able to reach the South Pole which was 300 miles away, for there were no more mountains in sight. The aircraft was able to fly over the endless white plains without difficulty. Lesson44 Through the forest 穿过森林Mrs Anne Sterling did not think of the risk she

7、was taking when she ran through a forest after two men. They had rushed up to her while she was having a picnic at the edge of a forest with her children and tried to steal her handbag. In the struggle, the strap broke and, with the bag in their possession, both men started running through the trees

8、. Mrs Sterling got so angry that she ran after them. She was soon out of breath, but she continued to run. When she caught up with them, she saw that they had sat down and were going through the contents of the bag, so she ran straight at them. The men got such a fright that they dropped the bag and

9、 ran away. The strap needs mending, said Mrs Sterling later, but they did not steal anything.Lesson45 A clear conscience 问心无愧The whole village soon learnt that a large sum of money had been lost. Sam Benton, the local butcher, had lost his wallet while taking his savings to the post-office. Sam was

10、sure that the wallet must have been found by one of the villagers, but it was not returned to him. Three months passed, and then one morning, Sam found his wallet outside his front door. It had been wrapped up in newspaper and it contained half the money he had lost, together with a note which said:

11、 A thief, yes, but only 5o per cent a thief! Two months later, some more money was sent to Sam with another note: Only 25 per cent a thief now! In time, all Sams money was paid back in this way. The last note said: I am 100 per cent honest now!lesson46 Expensive and uncomfortable 既昂贵又受罪When a plane

12、from London arrived at Sydney airport, workers began to unload a number of wooden boxes which contained clothing. No one could account for the fact that one of the boxes was extremely heavy. It suddenly occurred to one of the workers to open up the box. He was astonished at what he found. A man was

13、lying in the box on top of a pile of woollen goods. He was so surprised at being discovered that he did not even try to run away. After he was arrested, the man admitted hiding in the box before the plane left London. He had had a long and uncomfortable trip, for he had been confined to the wooden b

14、ox for over ten hours. The man was ordered to pay &345 for the cost of the trip. The normal price of a ticket is &230 !Lesson47 A thirsty ghost 嗜酒的鬼魂A public house which was recently bought by Mr Ian Thompson is up for sale. Mr Thompson is going to sell it because it is haunted. Though Mr Thompson had turned the lights off before he went to bed, they were on in the morning. He also said th

16、at he had found five empty whisky bottles which the ghost must have drunk the night before. When I suggested that some villagers must have come in for a free drink, Mr Thompson shook his head. The villagers have told him that they will not accept the inn even if he gives it away. Lesson48 Did you wa

17、nt to tell me something? 你想对我说什么吗?Dentists always ask questions when it is impossible for you to answer. My dentist had just pulled out one of my teeth and had told me to rest for a while. I tried to say something, but my mouth was full of cotton-wool. He knew I collected birds eggs and asked me whe

Meanwhile, my tongue was busy searching out the hole where the tooth had been. I suddenly felt very worried, but could no

19、t say anything. When the dentist at last removed the cotton-wool from my mouth, I was able to tell him that he had pulled out the wrong tooth. Lesson49 The end of a dream 美梦告终Tired of sleeping on the floor, a young man in Teheran saved up for years to buy a real bed. For the first time in his life,

20、he became the proud owner of a bed which had springs and a mattress. Because the weather was very hot, he carried the bed on to the roof of his house. He slept very well for the first two nights, but on the third night, a storm blew up. A gust of wind swept the bed off the roof and sent it crashing

21、into the courtyard below. The young man did not wake up until the bed had struck the ground. Although the bed was smashed to pieces, the man was miraculously unhurt. When he woke up, he was still on the mattress. Glancing at the bits of wood and metal that lay around him, the man sadly picked up the

22、 mattress and carried it into his house. After he had put it on the floor, he promptly went to sleep again.Lesson50 Taken for a ride 乘车兜风I love travelling in the country, but I dont like losing my way. I went on an excursion recently, but my trip took me longer than I expected. Im going to Woodford

23、Green, I said to the conductor as I got on the bus, but I dont know where it is. Ill tell you where to get off, answered the conductor. I sat in the front of the bus to get a good view of the countryside. After some time, the bus stopped. Looking round, I realized with a shock that I was the only pa

24、ssenger left on the bus. Youll have to get off here, the conductor said. This is as far as we go. Is this Woodford Green ? I asked. Oh dear, said the conductor suddenly. I forgot to put you off. It doesnt matter, I said. Ill get off here. We are going back now, said the conductor. Well, in that case

31、. Since then, they have been trying to find out how the fire began. Forest fire are often caused by broken glass or by cigarette ends which people carelessly throw away. Yesterday the firemen examined the ground carefully, but were not able to find any broken glass. They were also quite sure that a

32、cigarette end did not start the fire. This morning, however, a fireman accidentally discovered the cause. He noticed the remains of a snake which was wound round the electric wires of a 16,000-volt power line. In this way, he was able to solve the mystery. The explanation was simple but very unusual

33、. A bird had snatched up the snake from the ground and then dropped it on to the wires. The snake then wound itself round the wires. When it did so, it sent sparks down to the ground and these immediately started a fire.Lesson54 Sticky fingers 粘糊的手指After breakfast, I sent the children to school and

40、建设项目可行性报告一、项目摘要本项目根据萧山区畜牧生产优势,坚持可持续发展,做好资源开发利用和生态环境保护相结合,实现畜牧业经济、社会和生态效益的同步提高为宗旨。通过对现有规模的基础和水、电、交通等和配套设施进行规范化、标准化改造、扩建,防疫、粪污处理等先进生态养殖技术的推广应用,优良品系种猪的引进及推广,建设生猪规模化养殖基地(小区)。项目名称:杭州萧山之江生猪养殖基地建设项目建设单位:杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司建设地点:杭州市萧山区新湾镇四垦十工段建设年限:二年内完成建设任务建设规模:扩建各类猪舍60000平方米、各类附属用房10000平方米;粪污处理利用沼气工程1座;配套建设水、电、道路、

41、防疫等附属工程;购置母猪生产机械设备和动物标识移动智能识读设备等配套仪器设备。项目建设目标:目标基础母猪3000头,公猪15头,饲养总量75000头,其中存栏杜长大商品猪25000头,出栏50000头。投资估算:项目总投资6000万元,其中:申请中央地主政府扶持1000万元,杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司自筹5000万元。运行费用:项目建成后正常运行的成本费用预计为600万元,预计全年销售量达8500吨,总收入8000万元。效益分析:年出栏优质商品猪50000头,年创产值1亿元,年创净利800万元。二、项目建设的必要性和可行性(一)项目建设的必要性1、有助于农业经济结构调整随着农业经济结构战略性调整

42、和浙江省率先实行粮食市场放开,浙江省的规模养猪业发展迅速,规模化、集约化养猪已成为全省养殖生产的主要形式和发展方向,浙江省的生猪生产已列入国家优势农产品区域布局规划。所以,本项目的建设,不仅可以促进本省养猪业的发展,促进畜牧业可持续发展,还可带动相关产业如饲料加工业、食品加工业、种植业的发展,增加农民收入。对农业产业经济结构的调整具有重要意义。2、是提高畜产品品质、促进我省畜牧业发展的需要养猪生产在我省畜牧业生产中占有重要地位,2007年末存栏生猪1256.13万头,全年出栏生猪1976.5万头,猪肉产量175.89万吨,占肉类总产量的75.23%。但是随着畜产品消费市场对安全和质量要求的不断

43、提高,国际买方市场的“绿色贸易壁垒”的存在,对畜产品的品质特色优势建设提出了更高要求。杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司经过近几年的努力,生产规模和产品质量及生态养殖形成相当基础,但现有生产管理体系、生产设施、兽医防疫管理和环境保护等方面还不能满足要求。本项目建成实施后,能提高商品猪的质量,增加无公害生猪产量,辐射、带动萧山区甚至全省规模养猪向特色优质畜产品发展,提高生猪自给和外调量,增加猪肉产品出口贸易额,促进外向型畜牧业的发展。3、是解决“三农”和菜篮子工程问题,增加农民收入的需要发展农村经济、提高农业效益、增加农民收放是当前和今后相当一段时期内我国农村和农业工作的重点。畜牧业对农民的脱贫致富、稳定

44、农村经济起了积极作用。因此,发展畜牧业是增加农民收入的重要途径,而养猪业是我省畜牧业的主导产业,特色优势畜产品建设对增加农民收入起着至关重要的作用。4、是改善养殖环境、形成生态养猪的需要实施规模猪场粪尿综合治理和生态养殖工程,增加调节池、氧化塘面积,利用沼气工程提高污水处理能力,废水处理后达标排放,部分作为冲洗水综合利用;通过有机肥加工工艺,促进猪粪的综合利用;通过喷雾系统规范消毒,预防疾病传染。改善养殖环境,形成生态养猪。(二)项目建设的可行性1、项目实施基础条件较好杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司位于萧山区新湾镇四垦十工段,地域广阔,环境僻静,有河道分隔,防疫环境良好。猪场所在地基本设施较健全,设

45、有变压器、自来水、固定电话,水、电、路配套齐全。猪场技术力量较强,大中专以上专业人员10人,同时还聘请浙江大学等专家教授为技术顾问。近几年培养了一批组织管理能力强的业务骨干,为本项目的实施打好了基础。2、项目配套资金落实项目总投资6000万元,其中:申请中央地主政府扶持1000万元,杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司自筹5000万元。3、项目投资估算合理本项目投资估算6000万元,从建设内容上分析,用于新建猪舍60000平方米,附属用房10000平方米和粪污处理工程及生态养殖等相关附属工程硬件投入需资金4000万元;购置设备、设施、种猪引进及技术培训等软件投入需资金2000万元。总投资结构合理,符合国家

46、生猪标准化规模养殖场(小区)建设要求。由于本项目是在新建基地上实施,具有设施新、投资省、见效快的特点,领导的重视、组织的落实、建设资金的配套、成熟的管理和较强的技术力量以及较好的基础条件,将确保本项目的顺利实施。三、市场供求分析及预测养猪业在农业中占有重要地位,已成为农业和农村经济发展的重要支柱,在加速粮食转化、扩大农村就业、增加农民收入、带动种植业和相关产业发展、振兴农村经济等方面,都起到了不可替代的作用。猪肉是养猪生产的终端产品,是人类生存不可缺少的营养食品,当前人们食物构成中蛋白不足,市场猪肉供应紧缺,尤其是动物蛋白质短缺,使食物中的营养比例失衡,对人体健康造成一定影响。为促进我国人民食

47、物结构由温饱型向营养型、保健型转化,积极推动养猪生产的持续发展,以满足人们对高品质猪肉的需求,保障市场供应。通过本项目的实施,达到年出栏50000头优质瘦肉型外三元商品猪,是当今养猪业生产性能和肌肉品质相结合最优良的品系,能满足国内消费市场向质量和安全提出的要求,也符合国际市场绿色猪肉产品的要求。依托杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司的规模品牌效应、良好的信誉和口碑、较强的市场竞争力,市场销售前景广阔。四、项目承担单位基本情况(一)项目承担单位简介杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司位于萧山区新湾镇四垦十工段,地理位置和环境条件优越,是专业生产瘦肉型商品生猪的养殖企业,主要从事商品生猪的繁育、饲养,现有员工98名,

48、其中畜牧兽医、人工授精、饲养管理人员10名,技术力量雄厚。公司2008年新建以来,始终坚持优质高效、技术创新、示范带动的发展方针。已累计向市场供应优质商品生猪50万余头。公司多年被省、市、区政府评为农业龙头企业和“三高”农业样板企业,为萧山整个生猪养殖业起到了一定的带头作用。公司占地278亩,公司牧场已投入资金1800余万元,建有猪舍、饲料仓库、办公用房、隔离舍等房屋40余幢,猪舍建筑面积28000平方米。2010年底生猪存栏12000头,存栏母猪1350头,年出栏商品猪25000头。(二)人员状况猪场技术力量雄厚,现有经过培养的员工98人,大中专以上学历畜牧技术专业人员10人,其中大专学历以上6人;员工中管理人员12人,文化水平全部中专以上,生产人员86人,占总额的88%。(三)资产状况2010年12月底企业总资产2680.6万元,固定资产1510.8万元,产品销售收入2801.3万元,利润总额524.14万元。(四)现有建筑设施与配套仪器设备杭州萧山之江养殖有限公司占地面积278亩,建筑面积34740平方米,其中猪舍面积28000平方米。并建有饲料加工厂、消毒间、污水处理部、办公楼、
